Everybody's favorite elevator boy/adventurer Spirou (at least in French speaking countries that is!)

And his pal reporter Fantasio and Spip the squirrel!

I wanted to draw some fictive cover, and why not have fun with one of my favorite long running european franchises^^

The title is Utopia Z a reference to the bad guy alluded with the big evil shadow :P

Spirou kicks MORE ASS than Tintin ever wished to!
(+it's a lot more fun to read and the character are a lot more charismatic! 'nuff said!)

Zorglub was named Zafir in the Swedish version XD;; for unknown reasons. Not as lame as Fantasio tho, he was named Nicke. D:

Anyway, I really like this one. And I agree, Spirou kicks more ass than Tintin XD ♥

I should read Spirou, if it was translated to English, that is. I can only recall at least 3 or 4 Franco-Belgian comics localised into English. (Then again, haven't checked if there were any)

Some Spirou comics have been translated for the UK!
I'm not sure if they're easy to find now...

Heheh! What a funny coincidence. I been reading the old Spirou comics I have. Especially those with the emperor Zorglub. Believe it or not, he's one of my favorite characters. And misunderstanded evil scientist with BIG crazy plans. :XD:

Danish! Some of the names is different too.

Spirou = Splint

Fantasio = Kvik (He's name means "Wise" fun ha?)

His french name is supposed to allude to fantasy since most adventures/accidents/problems come from him! :P

Did they translate most of the albums in Danish? I'm askin' because I'm just curious!
I hope so, my favorite albums are the ones from authors Nic&Cauvin and Fournier, those ones seem so underrated nowadays...
